Gotta love KSOs!

I've been running in my Adizero pro's (4.5 oz) all summer changing me to a mid/forefoot striker. I just got my vibrams a week and a half ago and have put 60 mile on them. I will be running in my flats for the TOU half however.

Good luck at the half. Are you shooting for 1:25? Seems slow for a 17:03 5k (not that it is slow, I haven't been able to break 1:25, though I haven't broken 20:00 for a 5k either.)

My 5K time was from 2002. I must admit that I have been pretty lazy for the last 7 years. I think right now I could get a 5K in the 18 range. I am shooting for 1:25 on the half (anything less is gravy). Of course upon discovering this blog I know I now need to increase mileage up from 45 mpw to 70/80+.

Hmm - I would guess that if you can run a 5k in 18, with 45 mpw, you could definitely beat 1:25 - even by minutes. Last year, I was running about 35-40 mpw and ran 1:25:37 - my fastest 5k ever really was part of this race - 19:51. It has a lot of gradual decline, probably worth around 2 minutes. Have you used the predictor on this blog? Good luck.
