Had to wake up much earlier today, I needed to be home by 7:15. It actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting, it was really cool out and I really like running during the sunrise or sunset. It's weird how fast it'll get light out though... by 6:30 there's no touch of darkness. Anywho, 8.5 miles at 7:00 pace. Dang I was really hoping to bring it below 7:00 average. Ah well, the last 7.5 were 6:52 average. It was windy out, especially by emigration canyon. My cold just keeps getting worse, I'm starting to sound like a dying horse.

I'm really anxious about my low mileage, I wanted to bring it up this week but so far it hasn't gone all that well. I've actually wanted to bring it up for many weeks now but it never happened. I just hope that I can build throughout the season. This summer has just been super busy, and many things got in the way. I'm hoping I can be confident enough with the things I have been able to do so I can perform well at SUU. I really just needed to focus on running the past couple of months, but I didn't as much as I should have. On the bright side I think I have a place to live again! But of course living on the streets would have been quite the experience.

I feel the same way about my summer with running! Kind of frustrating, but I also think that staying busy and having so many things that get "in the way" is probably very healthy. I feel like it will make us that much more excited to get focused and down to business when school starts up instead of risking a mental burn-out from being super focused only on running all summer. Fall is gonna be great!

Hope you feel better.:) My summer running hasn't been to bad. Except for that nasty Asthma/Allergy flair last week. I can not wait for the XC season to start in the fall!
