AM: After warmups I did 3 with Ashley, Angie and Maggie. I wasn't feeling too great, I think I was still half asleep. But I got it in and that's what matters. Coach has me doing an 8, 10, 12 mile cycle so I think that'll be good, he says he usually doesn't have freshmen do that but since I have more confidence with higher mileage I can go farther, as long as I can handle the intensity of the workouts. I think that'll be my struggle for the next few weeks, but I can handle it. I'm not sure when that cycle starts, I'm gonna guess next week? PM: I felt a little better today, not much but any improvement is better than none! I think staying positive is what's going to get me through the transitioning stage. 6 miles on a dirt road, there's a large hill that we ran down on the way out and up on the way back that lasts for maybe a little over a mile, it was pretty tough. The last 2ish miles were tough for me, I started to feel the lightheadedness I felt yesterday. But it wasn't as bad! I think my cold has taken a larger toll on me than I realized, so I think once I recover fully I will be fine! |
