Met at Liberty, we did a couple laps of warmup then did a tempo at 6:30 pace. It was supposed to be 2 x 2 miles, I hit the first one right on 13:00. But it hurt so much more than it should. I felt crappy and was sluggish. The second one I really did not want to do but Tomy convinced me to focus on hitting the first mile, then make the decision of whether or not I could hit the next one, if not I could stop. I REALLY felt crappy on that one, but made it to the mile and quit. 6:29. I feel bad for quitting, but I'm grateful Tomy was there to make me focus the first mile, if he wasn't I'm certain I would have fallen off pace and been super slow for two miles, better to hit one on pace right? I think I really need to bring my confidence back up (AKA mileage) as well as my positive mentality, I've been out of town this past little bit and let myself slip. I need to get myself back to race mode, I have 4.5 weeks left to do so. AND no more trips for me (except for orientation next week but I'll be with some of the girls on the team!)
