Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

Sorry it was a bad leg day :( If you do think it is associated with the IT band, you might want to consider the Fredericson Protocol...http://runningwritings.blogspot.com/2012/02/injury-series-biomechanical-solutions.html, especially since you have some extra time these days!

So glad you came with us this weekend!!! There will definitely be more to come.

Thanks Andrea! That was incredibly helpful and I will start doing those exercises today. I always assumed ITBS was in the upper leg (quad/hip) area but the more I read the more I am thinking it may be what I have. All of my pain is in the lateral side of the knee and right below the knee.

From Jake K on Tue, Oct 02, 2012 at 11:19:20 from 155.100.226.191

Yeah I actually had some ITB issues back in college, and the pain was never in my uppper leg - I always had symptoms around the knee.
