Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

Just some easy gallivanting around the orchards in Santaquin.  9:01 pace.  It has seriously been perfect running weather the past two mornings.

Anyone up for 8 SLOW miles before watching SLC half marathon finish Saturday?

PM:  jogged with my sister and my nephew for about 23 minutes.  Dang pushing that jogging stroller is hard.  I have no idea how far we went but I am guessing no more than 2 miles.  Nice afternoon!

If you are coming up to watch and are interested, we have an extra bike, and I'm planning to bike around most of the course, following Andrea around

Hey Rachelle - are you taking an iron supplement? I would highly recommend it after a marathon (or at least eating a lot of red meat). The hemolysis that occurs after a long race like that can make a huge dent in your levels and the extra supplement can help you get back into training feeling strong and healthy quicker. I'm making Jake do it :)

Yes Jake I am coming up to watch. After the half marathon finish I am volunteering at the aid station at mile 16 of the marathon. I will let you know about the bike....I'm still trying to figure out my plans.

Andrea- thanks for the advice about the iron supplement. I very rarely eat red meat so I will jump on that today!

great advice Andrea. Rachelle, you are nearing the sub9 pace :D. I think you will hit it before two weeks...but doo take it easy!!! are your running UVM for sure???? I am so excited to watch that one. I work this Saturday. Hey, I went by our meeting place in Provo by the movie theatre--- ahhhhh Spring is here. So nice to see green instead of drab. That run was so cold.

Julie - I had a couple sub-9 miles today. It was a huge shocker as I felt as though I was running about a 12 min pace. I am not signed up for UV marathon right now and don't think I will do it. I really have no idea what my plans are. Just going to take 2-3 weeks off and go from there.

I am loving Spring! :):)

Rachelle I would run with you on Saturday if I wasn't going out of town :(
