I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

7.3 easy orchard loop with a few 10-20 second strides towards the end. 7:26 pace. Felt much better today but the forefront of my right foot is still bothering me. It just feels like my shoe is too tight. I'm icing it and hoping its just inflamed or something. Definitely not as noticeable today as it was yesterday.

You're not wearing high (or even high-ish) heels, right?

haha I've actually almost completely broken the high heel habbit (it has not been easy). That said I did a ton of walking while I was on vacation with my family in some pretty bad shoes and I have noticed it bothering me since then. My Mom has parent diagnosed me with bunions....I'm not so sure and just taking it one day at a time for now. It actually hurts worse to walk than to run so I guess thats a good...or a bad sign.

Nice run today. Good luck with the foot. Hopefully it's nothing. No fun, though.

Good on the high heel reduction. I don't just say that to be controversial, they are really bad for your feet (in the same way smoking is bad for your lungs - some people get away with it, but most are going to end up with some major problems).

I hope you can get this figured out. Bunions could be the problem.

Sasha will appreciate me saying this... I think crocs are a great option for walking around. They have plenty of room in the front to keep your toes from getting mashed together, the heel is only slightly elevated, they're cheap and indestructible!

Another shout-out for crocs.

Rachelle, I just finished reading the article. As I wipe a bit of a tear from the corner of my eye, I must say I'm very proud of you, and honored to know you a little bit. You've had quite a journey from when we met on the road of the 30k in Ogden the year you ran your first marathon. Keep up the inspirational work, pink-sock girl!
