I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

Ran with some friends in Provo in honor of Sherry Arnold who was abducted and murdered while running about a month ago.

We planned to run up Provo Canyon but once we got halfway up the trail (only 2.25mi) it was incredibly icy.  Being the complete idiot that I am I tried to keep running on the ice.   I learned quickly that my Saucony's suck on ice!  I face planted hard and then fell again when trying to get up. ha ha I bet it was quite the scene.  After this we decided to go downtown and finish up our miles.  10 miles/8 something pace.

My knee is bruised and swollen.  Nothing too bad...just what I deserve for being stupid.  Besides falling and making a fool of myself it was a nice relaxing run with friends.

Ouch! Sounds like a tough fall! FYI ice cream ices from the inside out. That's what I've been doing for my feet..on second thought, maybe you should just stick to real ice packs :o)

You see kids fall down and jump back up all the time, but when you fall as an adult it's a totally different story. I tripped over a rock while running and fell over a year ago. It was aweful. It's so strange to feel your body flying through the air and smack the ground. I hurt for a long time. Hope you recover quickly. I hope to recognize you and say hi next time we pass on the trail.
