Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

25 minutes weights - pushups, planks, core work.

8 miles on the treadmill with last 2 at marathon tempo-ish pace.  I was running low on energy this morning after a late night and little dinner.  I am not sure if it is just because I am getting older or what but I am definitely noticing the effects of lack of sleep and nutrition with this training cycle.

My Boston trip is completely booked and now I am starting to get excited!!  Those that have been before need to give me ideas of what to do.  I am going to be there for 6 days.  Flying in on Thursday and out on Tuesday and staying at the Holiday Inn downtown.

PM:  3 miles with the pup.  It felt really really easy so I was shocked to see an 8 minute AP.  Must have been because the pup was pulling me. :)  Foot felt much better tonight.

Good move this morning not doing anything too hard - but still getting in some MP. Its beneficial to sprinkle it in whenever possible.

Exciting that Boston is booked!!!

How's your foot?

Jake - my foot is bothering me more than I would like to admit. Actually my entire right side from below the knee down is just feeling "off". I took ib profin 800 before I ran today and that definitely helped. Sometimes I just wish I could give what I am feeling to someone else and get there opinion on if its normal or not. Stupid body aches!

From Jake K on Wed, Feb 01, 2012 at 12:56:30 from 155.100.226.54

I could be completely off - but when your shin started bothering you, you might have altered your stride (in such a tiny way that it wasn't even noticeable) and that might be why you are feeling lingering effects of that whole side feeling "off".

Its obviously hard to explain exactly what you feel - I'm kinda going through the same thing with my right knee - sometimes it feels weird, but 95% of the times its perfectly normal.

We both just need to be really smart, not run through PAIN, and keep the big picture in mind.

I appreciate your feedback. I was actually thinking the exact same thing about maybe slightly altering my stride when babying the shin.

I will definitely try to be smart. I have put way too much energy and money into Boston to jeopardize running it.

Haha yeah now that you've booked everything, you have some $$$ invested in this :-)
