Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

I will write a race report eventually.  I have the stomach flu and like an idiot thought I could come to work.  That was a dumb idea because now I am stuck at work until I feel coherant and hydrated enough to drive home.

My left foot has been completely numb since the race.  I have no feeling in my toes or ball of my foot at all.  It is very awkward to walk on and I have absolutely zero desire to even attempt running on it.  This recovery process will be slow going and I really hope I can get to the bottom of this feet issue.  My left foot is much worse than the right and I am thinking it may be Morton's Neuroma?  Anyway I did not reach my goal time on Saturday but as a completely stubborn runner I'd have to say I really don't regret running it.

Dang it! I am sorry you have the flu. :( If it's what my family had a few weeks ago, I am so so so sorry, it is awful! It's a good thing you didn't have it last week.

You had an awesome race with all that has been going on with your feet. Even if you didn't have foot issues, your time was INSANE Rachelle, you are super woman! Go see someone about the feet and get home today!

Ugh! So sorry, the stomach flu is the worst!! You really did amazing on Saturday!! I have a morton's neuroma on my left foot too, so maybe we should find some solutions together!! Definitely get some orthotics, that takes a lot of the pressure off the ball of the foot so it doesn't aggrivate the nerve as much. I still feel mine, but it's not as bad as it used to be.

No regrets, love it. Excited to read your race report. I agree with Bec - SUPER woman for sure. Sorry you are not feeling well and the feet :/, get some rest.

Oh no! The freaking stomach flu? What is the deal with bugs going around this time of year still? So weird.

Get well. Try to go home maybe? Just do it. Go home and sleep. I can come get you if you need. Really.

I'm impressed Rachelle... it was a tough day for a fast marathon... got warm quick once that sun came up! Breaking 3 hours again and finished 3rd is pretty darn good. Hope you give yourself a nice healthy rest now!

You did awesome. Much like what you said to me, it's the tough days that you learn the most from. Go over everything in your mind and think of how you could improve. It is easier for me since I did so many things that I can do better at. :) Great race.
