Personal:

I decided to join to hold myself accountable for my training and because I love learning from others running experiences.  I just started running a little over a year ago and have a lot to learn.  I work fulltime as a Manager of Telecommunications for Intermountain Healthcare and go to school online through Weber State University.  If you want to know more check out my blog: www.runningfortrevor.blogspot.com

8 mile orchard loop with Jen, Mac, & Aubs!  I washed my running clothes last night and even brushed my teeth before running this morning so hopefully I can get them to come back again. :)  Fun morning!

I am going to run the half on Saturday.  It will probably not be pretty but I am slated to pace a marathon in 2 weeks and really need a good long run on my feet.  Since I hate long runs doing the half seems like the perfect way to accomplish this.  Plus it will be fun to see so many awesome runners out!  I'm excited to take the pressure off, use the race as a MP workout, and just try to enjoy it.  I am ready to train for something and think I want to refocus and race UVM.  I've already paid my dues for the race so I might as well go for it as long as I'm feeling healthy.  Totally thinking out loud today....sorry!

PM:  1.7 mi jog to subway & back to retrieve dinner.  Running with a 6 inch was not nearly as awkward as running with the $3 of change I scrounged up in my pocket.

Sounds like a good plan. I will wait and see if you run MP or not :)

As long as your feet are holding up OK, why not? You've been running ~70 mpw all year, with 10K/HM PRs, so the foundation is there. Knock out a couple longer runs over the next month, and you'll be good for UVM. Its like 5+ weeks from now, that's long enough to get some marathon specific work in, but not enough time to burn yourself out. In some ways, its perfect.

I think that's a great plan Rachelle. Have fun. I can't wait to hear about it:)

Julie & Melody - I think running mp is the smarter approach if UVM is the ultimate goal. I did not recover from SLC well and with Provo city being even steeper downhill I just do not want to dig myself into a hole. (still kinda feel like I'm trying to dig myself out of one.)

Jake - thanks for your insight, it is always appreciated. Sat long run & pacing fargo marathon should be indicative enough to decide if my feet can handle racing a full.

Angie - Thank you! Come run with me. :)

Awesome!! You will rock it even at MP!

It sounds like your charming, good looks rounded you up some runners!!

Your rationale sounds perfect to me. Your experience has made you one smart runner!! Enjoy the half. I hope your cold is going away. :)
