First off, I'm an idiot. Somehow I thought that 100 minutes was 2 hours and would be about 16-17 miles. Yeah... and I'm supposed to be good at math. Hmmm. Anyway, I now know that 120 minutes is 2 hours. Hopefully coach won't be mad that I ran a bit extra.

Jon, Cody and Paul picked me up and we met up with some of Jon's work people and drove up to the start line of the TOU marathon course and ran down Blacksmith Fork canyon. The first bit was pretty cold, but it warmed up and was comfy by the end. It was definitely a fun run with the guys. I love going along with fast people, they make it feel so easy! Thanks guys for an awesome run and for slowing down enough that I could keep up. And thanks to Jon's work for supplying breakfast afterwards. Also, I'm glad that both my lungs are still intact, though I think I was pretty close to coughing one up a couple times.... Avg. 7:09/mi. (GT 214.2)

(I don't really know if these miles should count as 'fast' or 'slow' because they weren't meant  to be fast, but lots of them were as fast as Monday's tempo section. I'll just stick them in as slow miles since they were supposed to be slow, long-run miles.)

It was good to run with you today. I was wondering about the distance cause you had said you needed 100 minutes, but also said you wanted 17 miles. Either way, you did great and (as long as you can keep your lungs inside you) will have a great season.

UMMMMM.... If I did something like that (the Math issue) you wouldn't let me live it down!

Be careful with that group. They will try to make you a Loganite. Remember your roots!

Jon - Thanks again! And I'll do my best on the lungs thing....

Holt - It's true, but that would be because I pointed it out to you in the first place... plus it's not someone else's splits we're talking about... ;)
