So much fun today! I wanted to run the marathon sooo badly, so I asked my friend, Aimee, if she wanted a pacer at the end (who wouldn't).  Sooo I got to run the best part of the marathon without the pain!

I got dropped off at mile 2.5, and ran up to meet her at mile 5.  I even got to run with another lady up named staci who was also going to pace her friend going for a sub 3 hour.  Aimee was trying to get under 3:20, and i was confident i could hold that pace at 5 mo preggo.

It was a different experience to be at the front when the leaders were coming in - there were way less spectators and everyone looked a lot more solid.  I tried yelling for everyone, but most had ear phones in.  Clyde and Steve looked really good and i was happy for what they achieved that day.  I was waiting to yell for Amber, but I never saw her (I knew something must've been wrong).  It was sooo awesome to see Marcie killing it - and in 6th place.  What an achievement for her!

I had it perfectly timed as she arrived shortly after i came out of the port a potty.  She said she was doing good so far, and she looked pretty solid.  This was her first st. george marathon, so i knew the worst was yet to come for her.  It was feeling pretty warm that day too.

She stayed pretty solid until about 2.5 miles left - her legs were just burning.  I tried all types of things to motivate her, but she still slowed down from 7:30 to 8:30 (she told me later she wanted me to yell at her - I can't do that lol). She still held it together though and finished with a 3:23 - which is a  2 min p.r. for her.  I loved enjoying the yelling crowds without wanting to kill them (does that happen to anyone else).  The pace felt pretty easy.

I hung around and cheered other friends in - it was just fun to be a part of even though I didn't actually "run" it.

I'm 19 weeks, and 130 lbs.
