SOOOOOOO BUMMMMEEEDDD!!!! Went to the podiatrist today & the good news is I do not have a stress fracture in my foot, which i was a little worried about. But the bad news is I have tendonitis in my 5th metatarsal. Said no running for 3 weeks! What, this can't be happening 3 Weeks before the marathon! So Bummed! He said biking hard or getting up out of saddle aggravated it and now running is aggravating it. It seems to be a little better today, I could actually walk w/o limping.... He said I could probably try to do the marathon....key word is "TRY"....but if it starts to hurt even a little, I need to hop on the "bus"....and he said just to run for fun.......well it isn't very fun for me if I can't do as good as I have trained for, so not sure at this point what I will do! Better news, is he said it should be totally healed within a couple months! I have been toying around with the idea of doing the IronMan before I decide to have baby #3.....so maybe this is what I can look forward too! I feel so lost if I don't have an exercise goal!
