I needed that, a nice recovery day.  Went to the gym and did 45 minutes of weights and stretching type stuff, then ran the JRP trail on a perfect morning.  My legs feel really refreshed right now, best I've felt in weeks actually.

There is a lady that walks her dogs on the JRP every morning, and every morning I run right past the dogs with no incident, well this morning for some reason one of the dogs decided to attack me,  It tried to bite my leg but luckily didn't get it's teeth in.  I must have smelled different today :)

Realized the only way I was going to drag myself out of my comfy soft char in my cube for a lunch run was going to be a thoughtless, mind numbing run on an air conditioned treadmill, So I drove all the way back to the gym for an easy 6 miles, ended up being a 2 hour lunch Shhh, don't tell my boss.

Last 1/4 in 85 just to show my body what tomorrows tempo run will feel like.

Where do you get on the JRP? Is it by maverick? Do you drive there, or run? Nice recovery run, glad you didn't get hurt by the crazy dog!!

I go to Life Time fitness off of 114th south every morning on my way into work. The JRP trail is right across the street from the gym. I can run the trail and shower at the gym on my way to work.

And the best part in my work pays for our gym memberships.

Well aren't you lucky!?! I want to get a membership there, but it is so expensive, and I don't know if I can compete with the Holly Wood like atmosphere I've heard about. Ha Ha

Yep, the monthly membership fees are nuthin' compared to the plastic surgery bills. I'm going in for my 3rd round of botox tomorrow!!

Lol!! Well I better start saving now so I can be presentable enough to join lifetime1!

There is one exception, if you are faster than everyone else it doesn't matter what you look like.

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't need to worry either way though.

ah, lifetime. i heard there are diamonds studded into the treadmill belts. nice job getting your runs in today -- two runs today, right? :)

attack dogs. tsk. tsk.

Yep Allie, that one does count as a double :)

The diamonds are nice, but I really like the pretty girls feeding me grapes and wiping sweat off my forehead while I run the most.
