Me and the family left to go camping in Idaho after Conner's running of the 15K Fredom Run. We went up north of Preston for a few nights and camped at Emmigration Camp Ground. We didn't have any Cell or internet access which was a nice change for a while.
On the way back we received a few texts about the write-up on Conner's 15K in the Herald Journal. Nice article.
Took yesterday off due to a few pains in my foot. This evening I did 8 miles. When I started it was 84 degrees. Ran up and down Smithfield Canyon again. Lots of bugs in the air. I was cruisin' until mile 6.5 when I breathed in a huge bug--right down into my right lung. I don't know what it was but I was coughing and weasing like crazy until I got it up. Felt like a large fly or beatle. After that the last 1.5 were slow--still gaging the rest of the way. 7:50/mile average pace. |
