My main goal is just to stay healthy.  I was injured every year in my college career except for one.  I would like to reverse that trend and always stay injury-free.

I am a family man.  I am married to my beautiful wife Amy (who also ran at Weber and is quite the runner).  We have four beautiful daughters named Evelyn (6 years old), Hannah (4 year old), Nora (2 year old), and Iris (5 months).

MRI this morning. Results were negative for a meniscus tear, so that's great news. MRI did show IT Band Syndrome and I will continue to roll, stretch, ice, and do other hip strengthening exercises until this sucker goes away.

2.3 miles easy with a short stretching session in the middle. 2 miles is about the threshold below which I don't experience any knee pain. So for now, we'll keep it to around 2 miles with a really good stretching session before and something during like today.

Followed running up by wallking 18 holes of golf. I was 1 under par thru 8 and then some dude who lives along the course came from his house and asked to join us. I wasn't happy about that. I hate when people spectate my golf rounds. Long story short, I choked on the last hole with a penalty and ended with double bogey for a 37, one over par. This ties my best 9-hole round ever and I really think I could've at least hit even par if this dude didn't show up.

1.25 miles easy from the hotel here in San Diego. Planned on two miles, but knee started hurting a lot and had to stop, turn-around, and mostly walk it in.

2.1 easy miles in South Weber. IT band felt substantially better than two weeks ago in San Diego, but I could still feel it some. I had to stop and stretch after a mile and then it felt a bit better the second mile.

It feels like it's 1-2 weeks away from being better, but I know better than to believe that by now (as I've said several times a couple months ago that I thought it was 1-2 weeks away). If it were healed in the next 3-4 weeks I'd be ecstatic. I'd love to salvage the autumn racing season at least!

0.75 miles. I didn't feel any adverse effects from yesterday's short run, so I figured I'd see if I could do another 2 miles relatively pain free. I found the answer out somewhat quickly. Nope.
