I got up an ran 6 easy miles this morning.  My average pace was only 8:40.  It was good to get out on a run again.  It is the only time I really am able to think.  As I ran, I was thinking about SGM and I still can't believe I broke 3 hours.  I was trying to put together where I go from here.  For so long it has been just a dream to break 3 hours, so I always had something to work towards.  I have a local 5 K Turkey trot coming up next month, so I'll probably start working a lot on speed.  I think my next marathon won't be until Boston and I will try and break 3 again there. I've done Boston twice and my PR there is only 3:15, but with the right training I think I can do it.

Looks like Andy and other got you talked into joining the Blog. Welcome! Congratulations on reaching that sub 3 hour goal and good luck coming up with your next big goal. I was actually thinking about the same think a few days ago. If I ever acheive my goal to BQ, where do I go from there? Part of me is glad that I still have that goal out there to keep me motivated but part of me wants to just get it done.

Ss far as navigating, when you are on a blogger's specific page, click "my races" for that racer's specific race reports, or you can click "race reports" further to the right and see all bloggers race reports.

Welcome to the Blog Rhett. Good job again down there in SG. Sub 3 is quite a accomplishment. Keep it up bro. And its good to see you on here so I can see what kind of training your doing. :)

Slowly all of the ForumFlyers will migrate over here, right? Welcome to the blog and congratulations on your sub-3 last week. Very impressive.

Hey Rhett!!

So glad you came over!! I'm fairly new myself (btw, just in case you didn't know, this is gumpchump).

You posted on the flyers that you were running hard 4 days a week and crosstraining 2. Right? What kind of crosstraining do you focus on? Also, if your next marathon isn't until Boston, how are you going to train. I am so lost as to what I should be doing. I'd love to hear your plan.

I was in the same boat this year after boston qualifying and then breaking 3. . . now what. I think for fun my goal is now to beat Lance Armstrong's PR (a 2:45 will do it). Pretty lofty goal from just getting under 3, but I better start my goals a little higher so I've got to work harder and longer at them. I'll be doing boston in '09 as well. Already got my flights, hotel, etc. I'm pumped. I'll definitely have some questions for you as it gets closer. Again, great race on Sat.
