Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Consistent aerobic and strength training.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Participate in 5k and 10k races.
Personal:
I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties. Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation. It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again. Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

Ran 13 miles around the neighborhood early this morning. Cool and very windy day here. I wanted to go a bit further, but had to dash back home to get ready to go to kid's sporting events. Not a big deal. Plenty of weekends for really long runs.

Sounds like you have recovered quickly from Boston with your mileage this week back up in the seventies.
Don't want to miss the kids games. You can always find other times to run.

That's right Dave. Running to live not living to run. How are those five fingers treating you? I sent mine back for a bigger size. Darn second toe is a mile long!

I really like them. So far I've just been running 1 mile 3 times a week [it's just been 3 weeks]. I want to build up real slow. I've been running on a dirt two-track road on my property which gives we the option of the grass in the center or the hardpack dirt. My only trouble has been about a 40 yard stretch that I filled in with gravel because of a bad mud hole. My feet are still a little tender for the small rocks and I've come down on rocks on the same spot on my heel 2 or 3 times and I must have bruised it. I'm planning to gradually build up to 4 to 6 miles per day. I haven't tried them on pavement but I'm sure it would be better than gravel. I love the feel of the form I automatically run with in them and it almost seems easier to run fast than slow.
