Completed a dozen marathons and a handful of 50 mile ultras.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Consistent aerobic and strength training.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Participate in 5k and 10k races.
Personal:
I started more dedicated running and racing in my thirties. Eventually I developed symptomatic bradycardia and SVT which required a cardiac pacemaker implant and a cardiac cath ablation. It has taken a long time to get back to running consistently again. Counting my blessings and trying to remain more balanced with fitness.

Ran 12 mi out and back from home. Weather was sunny and humid. Right foot problem was tender first 2 miles and then went away as the run progressed. Other than that just a lot of thought about the biomechanics of running.

I saw your post on Cheryl's blog. Have you read much of Ernst Van Aaken? He has some very insightful stuff.
Be careful with the foot by the way. Have things looked up for you yet?

Thanks for the advice. I'm a beast of burden. My foot doesn't hurt that much, but I like to complain. I'll keep moving though as I know when to call it and this is far from the time. Yes, I've read much of Dr. Van Aaken and consider myself a student of his teaching as well as Joe Henderson (yes, Mr. LSD). You Mr. Ashbaker are blessed far more than me though. Just keep moving and cosuming oxygen every day and you'll improve even more. I'm far behind and will ty to catch up, but don't wait for me.
