Rest.  May do a long run tomorrow.  My plan was to go for it at the end of the week, but the forecast says snow.  Might as well go for it since my morning is free and I definitely don't want to get stuck on the TM next weekend for 20-miles.

Hope you are having/have a good long run this weekend.

Thanks for the compliment, felt good to run a progressive long run even if I did not run the last 5 miles at 6.30's, it also felt good to not really look at the watch for the last 5 miles and just trust that I was going at a decent pace without racing.

I really have taken the pressure off me for Boston, I really want to take it in. Sarah my wife told me about the word Enthusiasm, which simply means En = in or with and Thusiasm = with god so I just need to be enthusiastic about my running and everything will be just fine. For some reason this really resinates now.

However that does not mean I don't want sub 3 but I think you know what I mean.

Talk soon.

Thanks for your encouragement....I really feel like I'm getting stronger with the increased mileage, and I will gradually build on the speed....and hopefully, stay injury free!

Todd, it's good for me to hear that kind of perspective. My running partner has been emphasizing your same point as well. He keeps reminding me of athletes who made it to a big game, never to return again (World Series, Superbowl, etc.). Ed keeps saying, "enjoy and drink in the Boston experience". Also, I like your wife's insight in regards to "enthusiasm". I once heard a Christian athlete (David Robinson) describe "enthusiasm" as "the ability to see God in a situation". Thus, he plays every minute with "enthusiam". I'll still shoot for sub-3, but will no doubt enjoy the experience even if I run a 3:20. We are very blessed to be in position for running Boston!

Brian, keep up the good work!
