Recovery run on the treadmill today.  Began at 9 min pace and upped it every .25 miles by 2 notches.  Peaked at 6:48/pace for a mile and then worked my way back down.  This got me through 7.5 miles in 58 minutes.  Took a break to do squats, leg extensions, leg press/curls, and calf raises.  Finished with 2.5 miles on TM at a 9 min pace.  10 miles total.

You are getting in another solid week. You are doing a good job of mixing the treadmill running with getting outside which is great this time of year. Going to be a rough week weather wise.

Thanks...yes, it is a tough week. How's it been in your area?

It's hard to gauge improvement levels with the cold and ice. I'd love to be able to just run on the track a bit in descent weather to figure out where I am. May not get that luxury until March.

I need to follow your lead and not stress to much on checking off the each day on the 2:50 program. I was a bit down because I could not get those mile repeats done when I should of realized it was an off day and just ran something easy. Going to try and read your entries, your a more mature runner than I am.

Julian is such a great kid, I was really proud of him and after its all said and done it was a special bonding day for us today at the hospital.

Mile repeats or tempo tomorrow.

20 this Saturday but for the first time I am really going to try and run nice and easy.

Glad Julian's ok. Experiences like that keep the whole running thing in perspective. Good luck on the long run this weekend!
