I'm kind of breaking away from the normal use of this blog and decided to set up a recipe blog so anyone can see what exactly this crazy family eats every day. We are very consistent and dedicated to good health. We have a unique way of eating that has brought us health and happiness.

So...I'm thinking it's time to start posting some of the good things that come out of my kitchen.  This post however..take it for what it's worth..it's meant to be an inspiration for growing veggies in your garden that you can eat fresh..and if you are lucky you might get enough of a harvest to cook with some of them.  My first priority for veggies is fresh since obviously that's better for you. This year is very exciting because I planted enough peas that we have extra.

Tonight my garden boy Joseph (the 6 year old) collected 60 or so peas, a big handful of smallish chard, and a little handful of oregano.   I cooked onions and garlic in some olive oil in my big electric frying pan that I love and use ...alot...I added the washed peas whole, chopped up the chard and added a couple of cups of frozen corn for color and well..I like frozen corn.

Then I blended up the oregano with a couple of cups of water and about 2 T of corn starch.   I let this cook in the frying pan with everything else until the peas softened and the liquid started to gel a bit.  Sorry..this isn't really a recipe but then again I don't think I actually post recipes on here..just what I do in the kitchen.  I'm serving it over some yummy basmati brown rice with chips and Jack's salsa (my favorite salsa from costco).

I often add chicken to these type of veggie dishes but not tonight...
