No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Are you cheap like me? Put those little hotties in a ziplock bag and use them again tomorrow!

Kickstart your dead Garmin
Hold down the reset/lap button and the mode button together to get your 205/305/310xt to restart if it won't turn on or if it freezes up.

Sounds like there's a story in here somewhere? How did you break your big toe?

From I Just Run on Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 10:03:30 from 67.79.11.242

Tom,

He says he did it at work but I think it might have something to do with a new pool table. Those slate tables are very heavy you know!

Good to see you back RT....let the training begin!!!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 10:28:03 from 70.199.129.249

Nope. If I dropped a slate on my foot I'd be crippled for good. My coworker dropped a 30lb battery on my foot and broke my middle toe.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 10:36:40 from 70.199.129.249

IJR - Did you see the latest pics of that table? I think it turned out pretty good. My next project is a motorcycle mural on the new insulated garage door.

I did, it looks GREAT! Hope it doesn't distract you from running. :-)

From rAtTLeTrAp on Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 10:47:01 from 70.199.129.249

It was a great distraction from not being able to run for almost a month!

From DLTheo on Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 10:53:18 from 76.28.161.119

I wondered where you were! Glad you are back at it! Will you be at the resolution series 5K on Jan 1?

From JD on Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 11:16:34 from 70.96.78.188

good to see you healed and able to run again. hopefully you'll be toeing the line at some races this next year.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 11:20:19 from 70.199.129.249

Boston is the only race I have on my radar for 2014.

From Tom K on Fri, Dec 20, 2013 at 18:05:53 from 71.203.20.181

Sorry about the toe. Glad to see you're back at it.

From Tom Slick on Sun, Dec 22, 2013 at 14:58:12 from 69.171.160.135

It's a good thing to be able to leave tracks. Hows the Big Toe?

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sun, Dec 22, 2013 at 15:03:20 from 70.199.135.21

My toe is well enough to run now, but my motivation seems to be suffering. I just picked up a NIB garmin 310xt for $75. Maybe that will help me get out the door tomorrow morning...

From Tom Slick on Mon, Dec 23, 2013 at 07:50:33 from 69.171.160.69

it's tough to get going in this winter weather stuff...
