10 early miles on the frozen tundra we call the roads. YIKES! I swear I almost died a couple times. I was nervous about running on the ice and snow this morning, but with chunks of snow frozen in the ice on the road it was doable. Chad joined us (George, Todd and I) after about 1.5 miles and watched the garmin to help me pace at 8:50 so I could convince my brain I'll be fine at Riverton. With sore, tired legs and in the ice I exceeded that (taking off the first super slow mile), so I now know I can hit it and feel comfortable at the race. Thanks Chad! AP: 8:50 splits: 10:01, 9:16 (getting used to the ice skating), 8:44, 8:42, 9:10 (the hill), 8:39, 8:27, 8:18, 8:32, 8:24. Got home and shivered for about 30 minutes. Nice after burn, right? Spin class - gotta love Allison's class. Had a diaper pass around. Allison (teacher) needed one, so I gave her mine, but then 5 min later guess who was called to come change their baby? HA! Darn Murphy! So, another lady in class gave one to me. Awesome mothers, we're always supporting each other when we need it. Took baby Fartlek to his swim class and got a good arm workout there! Fun times :)
