There must just be something magical about running with Kelli. Luckily she was just taking it easy this morning, so I tagged along instead of trying to do a tempo with the BBK's. I felt wonderful the whole run, the pace felt easy and I could just jabber away all the crap floating in my head as we wandered down the parkway. We got finished and I felt fantastic, more like a 4 mile run - not 8.5! I guess this is what 'tapering' does for me. That and cutting out all the extra x-training/resistance/classes I do all week on top of running. Then I noticed our pace was 8:41 for the miles and I just about jumped out of my skin. I'm finally starting to come back from my cruddy Ogden/UVM/injury days at the beginning of the season! Now if PCM doesn't screw it all up for me, I might just be able to hit my goals at SGM. AP: 8:41 splits: 9:14, 8:45, 8:31, 8:40, 8:39, 8:37, 8:34, 8:30, 8:34 (last .5) *even consistent splits...I tell ya, this girl is magic for me!
Since the gym is closed and I took yesterday off of painting I've got 5,000 and one things to do at home, so no yoga (grrrr) and I'm passing on the rec center workout as well. Back to gettin' lucky around the house!
