4 miles @ 8:50/mi  solo

I've been having weird sporadic nerve pains (and achy teeth and sore throat) on the left side of my head since Sunday. Dr. Google says it may be trigeminal neuralgia, or a myriad of other things, but whatever it is I think I triggered it by my heavy exertion Saturday, racing the half marathon in the morning then hiking with a heavy pack 4+ miles in the rain in the afternoon.

It was bad enough Monday that I took the day off work. I even alternated ice and heat on the whole left side of my head for a while. Since then I decided to return to normal life. The condition has calmed down a lot, but I still feel some level 1-2 pain/discomfort. So far I haven't had any of the 7-10 level stabbing pains this morning.

I'm certain that worrying about it won't help. I've rested (not run...or mowed the grass) for a few days. Now it's time to move on and hope it goes away. It seems to be improving. If it persists I may have to give in and go to a doctor. Ah well.

I got in about 4 miles this morning as well. Felt kinda sluggish but good enough to attack some hills up 2000 North. We should start running together again one of these days;-) I have only been getting out 1-2 times per week lately.
