Have fun running, keep fit, and fight middle age spread. Run consistently and injury free. Maintain a healthy balance between running and other life priorities. Encourage my ever-aging running buddies to keep running so we can continue to share runs on the trail instead of rocking chairs.

Personal:

Blessed to be married to Karen for 30 years. We have six children (4 daughters/2 sons) ages 16 to 30, and one wonderful granddaughter.

As Larry, Wayne and I were about to start our run Lyle came running by. We decided to join him on his loop of the neighborhood 5K course. As Larry described it, Lyle was running like a freight train. We had to push to keep up with him as we were warming up. After one loop Lyle split off and we continued for a second loop. Wayne and I ran around the block while Larry made a pit stop at his house, so we ended up with 7 miles instead of 6.2. Overall average pace was only about 9:30/mi.
