Whoo...Hoo... Ran two days in a row. My hip was a tiny bit sore at first but after about a quarter mile it seem to be fine. I didn't run quite as fast as yesterday intentionally because I was going to bike too. I had a little trouble with the biking. My light went out after about 3 miles and I fiddled with it for 10 or 15 minutes and never got it to work again so I rode in the dark for quite a while. Also, I was planning on about 20 miles but ran short on time. My legs are still somwhat sore and heavy feeling....I'm hoping that will go away soon.

Run: 2 Miles @ 7:54 pace - Bike: 12.5 @ 18.8 mph

I'm kinda slow on my transitions...I need to work on that also :-)

Nice work! I always wondered how bikers were able to ride in the dark. I am suer it is a little scary. Good luck with the healing. Love the scriptures!

Sounds like the bike has kept your cardio up, maybe even improved it! Congrats on the 2 days in a row.

Great news! Sounds like you've turned a corner on that injury. Nice job on the 80 Saturday. Maybe I'll have to get you to come up and do LOTOJA with me.

Two miles that past couple of days has got to feel sooooo good! I can't wait to feel it! One more week for me and I hope I get the green light! So happy things have healed up a bit and you are on the mend!

Hey Steam,

Yes I'm hoping I'm on the downhill side of this. I actually thought about running again this morning but decided not to since I got home really late last night. I think it was a good decision since the hip is still not 100% but much better with no additional pain after the two days of running.

From Steam8 on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 13:19:57 from 166.70.55.77

Yep, better start back in easy and listen to your body. I am a bit worried because the past two weeks my hip has been hurting again. I think the boot has brought back the bursitis! dang it! I've been a bit lazy on my pt since I haven't been running. Did you get the PT info I sent? I don't know if it made it to you. :)

Hey Sue...Yeah it is a little scary riding in the dark. My light is bright but you can still come up on things really fast at 20 mph. A deer ran about 20 feet in front of me the other morning. If I had hit it I'd probably be a gonner.
