There's just something wrong with logging miles like this as "Easy Miles". Even though they were slow they were not "Easy". I don't know what it is about this run (20 miles @ 8:26 pace) but it's been hard every time I've done it. It must be either too slow or two long, I'm not sure which :-)

I finished the run but was completly beat at the end. It took all day to recover, my legs felt like crap and I was completly worn out. My hams were really tight and aching after the run. Today my hams are good but my quads are sore. 

Target was 20 miles @ 8:26 pace.

Huh, thought I posted a comment but it's gone. Anyway, I think that the heat and humidity might have hurt you on such a long run. Probably would have felt better had it been cooler. Nice run.

I did see your extended comment. I'm not sure why it didn't make it to the blog..? I think you're right on the heat and humidity. It seems every time I've tried this run the weather has been somewhat hot and humid. Other, faster/longer runs, have turned out better. My training has been pretty sporatic lately. I've not been able to cross-train and also missed a couple of my key runs. Next week will be unusual too as I'm going to Las Vegas for the week to compete in a big roping event. Hopefully after that I can get back into the proper training schedule.
