I really wish I could keep my HR under 155 on a run like this. Last week I kept it below 155 for 13 miles while averaging an 8:00 pace. This week I was more like 8:20 and my HR jumped to 160 at mile 11. Above 155 I'm in the Threshold Zone.

We really did run together today! That sounds so familiar. Why is there so many odd patches in a long run? I'm about ready to shut my eyes for 30 minutes:)

Wish I would have known you guys were doing this, I would have thought about you during breakfast.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sat, Jun 16, 2012 at 13:04:55 from 174.253.192.184

Good job hangin' in there. Those last 6 miles were the ones that counted the most.

Rye

It's interesting I had trouble with this run last time around too.

Flat

Were you up at 4:30?

Trap

I wonder if I'm running too high on my HR, the last 6 miles fall into my Vo2 max range. I'm sure the lactate buildup is what's causing me all the problem.

From Rye on Sat, Jun 16, 2012 at 16:55:36 from 174.27.97.123

IJR... we should invite flat to join us. What do you think? We could brush up on all the lawyer gossip.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Sat, Jun 16, 2012 at 17:33:26 from 174.253.192.184

Preston - You're asking the wrong guy about that. I just run :)

From I Just Run on Sat, Jun 16, 2012 at 18:05:17 from 166.147.123.153

Rye, no...we'd probably do something wrong and he'd probably slap a lawsuit on us!

Trap

You're obviously doing a lot right, you can run like crazy!!!!!

Good long run. I'm not even going to attempt 20 this summer, that's how wimpy I am. Impressed you could actually run the whole way, I almost walked up a hill today toward the end...it's hot!

From Dan on Sun, Jun 17, 2012 at 22:02:01 from 24.209.83.20

Nice 20 miler! Like Joe, I have not even attempted one this summer..ok so I am not allowed yet, but still is true. RT is right, those last 6 will count the most.
