Short-Term Running Goals:

This year I am looking to race a bit more and hope to improve. I have started to train a bit differently using a more well rounded program. Including tempo and speed work (which up to this point I have slacked off on) Would like to be somewhere near the top of my A.G. it makes racing more fun. Also helping motivate people to become more active and enjoy getting out and enjoying all life has to offer.

Long-Term Running Goals:

have not really set long term goals just love the great benefits physically as well as mentally that have come with running and look to continue to grow and improve

Personal:

Married to an amazing woman who I get to enjoy living and loving life for all its worth. From our urban farm to exploring the backcountry. I have 2 boys who are about grown. My passion for running has not diminished over the years just evolved into an integral part of life like it always has been but a little different. Lucky for me Tiff puts up with my running obsession and doesn't complain too much.

wow what a day for a run starting out it was snowing lightly with about 3 inches of fresh snow not too cold but a blustery wind awirling thinking to myself it wont be too bad managed the first 1/4 mile and it became evident that it was more slush than snow and the storm was getting stronger. Figuring as I was already out and in it may as well keep going north to 126th and redwood turning west and making my way to 3600 west it was really getting thick out could hardly see in front of me and snow plastering  my body could have been mistaken for a snow man...well at that point i pretty much was ha ha. South from there to 134th finally turning back west now to complete my snow suit so to speak slush and snow caked on my body and shoes had reached maximum absorption long before felt like i was running with squishy bricks on my feet. East to redwood road turning back north with the wind small consolation but my spirit was still unwavering more of a playful run now splashing through slush and snow like a kid again good memories, cold not bothering me in the slightest .Back to 114th south and turn around and the final 3/4 of a mile back home before i know it :) blizzard setting in good ha ha laughing at the storm

of the many things I love about running is getting out in the "bad" weather. You hit the nail on the head with the childhood reference. It's wonderful!
