Short-Term Running Goals:

This year I am looking to race a bit more and hope to improve. I have started to train a bit differently using a more well rounded program. Including tempo and speed work (which up to this point I have slacked off on) Would like to be somewhere near the top of my A.G. it makes racing more fun. Also helping motivate people to become more active and enjoy getting out and enjoying all life has to offer.

Long-Term Running Goals:

have not really set long term goals just love the great benefits physically as well as mentally that have come with running and look to continue to grow and improve

Personal:

Married to an amazing woman who I get to enjoy living and loving life for all its worth. From our urban farm to exploring the backcountry. I have 2 boys who are about grown. My passion for running has not diminished over the years just evolved into an integral part of life like it always has been but a little different. Lucky for me Tiff puts up with my running obsession and doesn't complain too much.

Okay, now I'm up to date, I just read all your entries. So you ran three legs? a 6 miler in the early evening, then another 6 at about 3 in the morning and then a for miler after that? Tell me more about running at sea level, I'm very interested in what you have to say.

ok so i finally got some time to write back this is the second of there type things i have done(recall the ragnar in june )have another ragnar coming in vegas next month this one though i was planning on just staying within my training pace and enjoying everything we went for a short run thursday about 5 miles loose and relaxed but looking at the time we were out it was at about 8m/m pace but felt like 9 1/2 was not breathing hard recovered very quickly

then next morning went another 5 to loosen up at about the same pace with similar feel once it was my turn to run my sections did not want to go too hard (trying to set myself up for a good run in cedar city coming up later this month)running at what felt like just under 8m/m the timing and exchanges at this race were so bogged up hard to get very accurate speed and pace stats and of course no watch for me lol what felt like 8 turned out to be close to 7 m/m

without too much effort so running at almost 10k pace with easy breathing could feel the work in my legs specially the last leg but over all easy to go fast and not get winded thinking i want to run something at sea level where i can let it all out ha ha maybe a 1/2 or full marathon just to get a really good read on it all
