Short-Term Running Goals:

This year I am looking to race a bit more and hope to improve. I have started to train a bit differently using a more well rounded program. Including tempo and speed work (which up to this point I have slacked off on) Would like to be somewhere near the top of my A.G. it makes racing more fun. Also helping motivate people to become more active and enjoy getting out and enjoying all life has to offer.

Long-Term Running Goals:

have not really set long term goals just love the great benefits physically as well as mentally that have come with running and look to continue to grow and improve

Personal:

Married to an amazing woman who I get to enjoy living and loving life for all its worth. From our urban farm to exploring the backcountry. I have 2 boys who are about grown. My passion for running has not diminished over the years just evolved into an integral part of life like it always has been but a little different. Lucky for me Tiff puts up with my running obsession and doesn't complain too much.

runner # 7 after work forced taper and not being able to update much hopefully things will settle in again so i can have a bit of time to get things back into a somewhat schedule so here is the basics on the Vegas Ragnar first leg was 6 mi with an altitude gain of about 800 feet finished the leg in 45 min roughly timing was not a key role ha ha and yes i wore my crocs to run the first leg :) best guess 7.5 min mi not bad for up hill my second leg was almost identical to the first except it was through town on paved streets for the most part and late at night with similar time about 7 to 7.5 min mi figured i was doing well did not want to burn myself up with my big one coming up 3rd leg for me #31 10 miles grueling up hill 1300 feet altitude gain over 6 miles feeling like my legs had rocks in them but willed myself not to stop and at that point sleep deprivation not real good hydration fatigue from the first two legs and lack of fuel besides grabbing a bite here and there were all playing factors just figuring i would gut it out no matter how slow felt like i was crawling but still managed to pass quite a few finally reaching the summit starting the downhill my legs tried to buckle  but soon i was in downhill mode letting the grade work found a good stride and rythm and let it roll finishing in 1:15 so another 7.5 min mile which surprised me as tired as i legs like jello glad to be finished or so it seemed except one of the girls on our team was in bad shape she couldnt do her final 4.5 leg so with about 45 min recovery i was back out for more fun lol sucked up a little over 3 of hers averaged about 8 min mi not sure how lol and i was finished  with a feeling of acomplishment

I've been checking on you, I was beginning to worry because you haven't been posting. Come on, don't leave your followers hanging. Cool guys run in Crocs! Glad to see you are still alive and doing well.
