Short-Term Running Goals:

This year I am looking to race a bit more and hope to improve. I have started to train a bit differently using a more well rounded program. Including tempo and speed work (which up to this point I have slacked off on) Would like to be somewhere near the top of my A.G. it makes racing more fun. Also helping motivate people to become more active and enjoy getting out and enjoying all life has to offer.

Long-Term Running Goals:

have not really set long term goals just love the great benefits physically as well as mentally that have come with running and look to continue to grow and improve

Personal:

Married to an amazing woman who I get to enjoy living and loving life for all its worth. From our urban farm to exploring the backcountry. I have 2 boys who are about grown. My passion for running has not diminished over the years just evolved into an integral part of life like it always has been but a little different. Lucky for me Tiff puts up with my running obsession and doesn't complain too much.

Good job! That was a great course to run. You would have been just ahead of me the whole time. That last climb during the last mile was a bugger for me but the last few blocks were like heaven...perfect downhill slope and the finish line- I was close to being in there for a 1:29 but really bonked on the last 2 miles a little over 8 pace. I was so worried about killing myself because of St. George coming that I took some resting walks towards the end. I looked at my garmin at mile 12 and was 1:24 thinking , crap suck it up during the end and I could have been there too!

I will do this course again...loved it!

Good job Paul. Looks like you followed the race plan to the letter!!!! Hardware is nice, congratulations. I looked at the results and saw that you are now 45, I turned 45 on August 30th. Welcome to the new age group! You averaged 6:50 per mile, that's fast my friend. It's got to feel good getting faster as you get older. Once again, congratulations, looks like you had a terrific race.
