Short-Term Running Goals:

This year I am looking to race a bit more and hope to improve. I have started to train a bit differently using a more well rounded program. Including tempo and speed work (which up to this point I have slacked off on) Would like to be somewhere near the top of my A.G. it makes racing more fun. Also helping motivate people to become more active and enjoy getting out and enjoying all life has to offer.

Long-Term Running Goals:

have not really set long term goals just love the great benefits physically as well as mentally that have come with running and look to continue to grow and improve

Personal:

Married to an amazing woman who I get to enjoy living and loving life for all its worth. From our urban farm to exploring the backcountry. I have 2 boys who are about grown. My passion for running has not diminished over the years just evolved into an integral part of life like it always has been but a little different. Lucky for me Tiff puts up with my running obsession and doesn't complain too much.

12.0 am miles on the JRP. Very productive progression run this morning. Have been feeling off the last week and even more so since sunday so I was glad to get this one in. I am much more confident now did 12 in 1:29:45 . 7:29 ave pace splits were 8:17,7:52,7:44,7:42,7:33,7:35,7:30,7:15,7:12,7:05,6:58,6:58.

6.0 pm miles easy shake out went around the 114th block just to loosen up and let my muscles absorb some of the morning workout

After careful consideration(and debate with Tiffany) I am not pacing the Salt Lake full marathon,I will be running the half as originally planned and paid for. Figuring I will try to run it at m/p to get a good feel for it

Nice job Paul. I like getting those confidence runs in. On a side note, what time do you head out running most mornings? I wouldn't mind adding a meet-up run on Mondays and Wednesdays around 5:00 am. I find if I don't meet-up with someone I get lazy about getting out of bed in the morning. Just let me know.

Chad, I am kinda lazy about gerting out of bed too, I usually dont go until 630 or 7. I could drag my butt out early once or twice a week to get me going.

Have a good run Saturday. Let's hope the morning remains cool.
