Decided not to run in the morning because I was up late last night doing homework. Since Fridays are my easy days I did a quick 35 minutes at 6:40 pace on the treadmill. It is way to cold to get a good workout outside.

First run of the day was an easy 30 minutes on the treadmill. It felt great going 8:00 pace. I didn't even have any issues with my calve or groin. The icing must be helping! :-)

Second run was a bit tougher. And by a bit I mean a lot. I went an hour on the treadmill around 7:00 pace and by 40:00 I was feeling it. Thankfully I've been training through long tough runs like that for nearly a month now. So I actually felt the same right before I finished as I did 20 minutes earlier. I feel like my aerobic base training phase is going great! Will probably switch over to hills sometime mid-january.

Bad news is that my groin was giving me some trouble after I was done. I don't feel it too much while running because I don't have to lift my knees very high, but now I just expect pain whenever I'm doing something that involves lifting my knee up high like putting pants on. ha

Googling groin streches NOW.

Also, as I wrap up this week I'd like to say that it's been very succesful. It's just two minutes away from being the most I've ran timewise all training season. And running time is what I've been shooting for instead of distance for my aerobic base phase. 6.5 hours of running total... and I'm feeling pretty good ;-) Hope to start running two-a-days more next week.
