Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

A chilly start to the week. Roads had some ice on them, which made it slow in some spots, but all in all a decent run. I felt tired when I started, but pretty good by the end. Ran out to Forrester Acres and back up Summit Dr. 6.75 miles, averaging 7:05/mile.

Ran with Cody from my house. We went up to the Canal Trail, and then connected with the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, just north of Hyde Park. Took the BST to Hyde Park Canyon, and then explored the HPC trail for a little while, until I tire of going uphill. But there was some cool stuff there. We ran back down Hyde Park Canyon, and kept going south the BST. This was uncharted territory for me, as I had not yet been on it, and I was hoping we could get all the way through to Green Canyon. And we did. The trail was in great shape for most of it, although we lost in one or two place, but always found it again. It ended up being a really good run, and it was cool to get to Green Canyon from that route. We were in a pinch for time coming back, so we took the road back to 1600 E, and then took 1600 E to 3100 N, where we were able to jump back onto the Canal Trail back to my house. I was really tired by the end, but well worth it. Nice day, too.
