Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Clear, chilly morning. I ran an easy 4 miles on the canal trail. Abs are sore from the race Saturday, but legs feel fine. The 5K pace got the best of my unconditioned lungs and abdomen. While leading worship at church on Sunday, it was tough hitting the high notes and low notes due to the sore abs. I was particularly exhausted after "And Can It Be, That I Should Gain".

Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

Cody came over to run, so I came up with some weird loop that allowed us to hit all of the canal trails in Smithfield. It was snowing and cold, but not snowing too hard, so it wasn't bad. Pace was slow, but not too slow (forgot to stop my garmin, so I don't know exact). Felt like about 7:30 pace.
