Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

| Recovery is going well after UVM, way better than Boston. I knew it would be decent when I was able to jog about a mile back to the hotel after the race. But still, will take a least one or two or three days off before running again. No sense in running on damaged muscles. | Comments(1) |

| Took our Volvo into Import Auto for an oil change and safety inspection, and then did a run from there. Ran south to the golf course and back. Very nice day to be out, mid-60s and pleasant. 7.25 miles, averaged about 7:15/mile. |

| Drove out to Lundstrom Park in North Logan, parked, and then ran from there to USU track to check out the Ragnar start venue. Pretty impressive, it's like small city. Filled with strange vehicles, and even stranger-looking people in strange clothing. Felt like a "Mad Max" movie. Anyway, this is definitely their best start line venue, really big and in a cool part of town (much better than starting at ICON). From there, ran around North Logan. Kept the run short, because it's my first run in the Saucony Hattori. Cool shoe, but took a few miles to get used to. Since yesterday I've been experience minor pain in my plantar fascia, which I'm pretty sure it due to my left calf being excessively tight (very noticeable in contrast to the right calf). So I'll have to pay attention to that, and do a lot of stretching, calf raises, massage, etc to nip it. Ran 5.25 miles, averaged 7:15/mile.
