Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

well Paul, did you watch the vikes take down our pack? I am glad i missed the game now. Watching benedict Brent shred the pack defense would have been too much for me. But then again, had I been there to watch and impart my positive energy, the outcome may very well have been different. So you may be indirectly responsible for this loss, by jinxing the pack by not having another cache valley wisconsin native in front of the tube cheering them on. its the little things like this that decide games you know. I guess you will have to live with that...

Where were you? I invited everyone, like, 4 weeks ago. I suppose I should have sent a booster invitation. Actually, it's been a busy couple weeks, and getting organized for the game was not on the forefront of my mind. But I did grill some bratwurst and onions. My 3 brats were not quite enough, and perhaps if I had eaten 5 or 6 brats, they would have recovered one of those two onside kicks, or at least gotten some pressure on Favre. Sheesh, Favre was as sharp as I've ever seen him, but they got ZERO pressure on him. It was pathetic, although the Pack somehow still made a decent game of it, even though they were outplayed in every phase. Oh well.

Minn 8 sacks + GB 0 sacks = impossible to win. Too bad, I was rooting for the Pack. Aaron didn't stand a chance, and Favre had all day to throw.

Aaron still did awesome with his game despite his line looking like a sieve! Give him some time and it would have been a different story.

Yeah, agreed on the sack ratio. Rogers, to his credit, was able to make some big plays, despite the o-line. These big plays kept them in the game. But Rogers, to his discredit, tends to hold the ball WAY to long and to see the the field too slowly (or only see half the field). Favre, in contrast, in sooo good at getting rid of the ball quickly, and seeing those checkdowns. That's why he's still playing at age 40. Rogers will be in a wheelchair by Week 6 of this season.

Paul, well, we can plan to do "pack-vikes" part two if it is on TV (I'll have to check the schedule). I think if we have enough brats and positive energy we ought to do fine in round two. Brent is making the pack look pretty bad right now. This really hurts. If he takes them down in Lambeau it would be very bad indeed.
