Endure and persist; this pain will turn to your good. - Ovid

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. - Romans 5:1-5

Very easy miles on the Canal Loop.

Fellow bloggers and lurkers - If anyone wants free lodging before the Top of Utah Marathon, let me know. I have couple extra full-sized beds, so can easily accommodate two individuals or two couples. You will have your own very quiet bedroom and bathroom. The only thing I ask in return is a ride to the busing area the morning of the race (we only have one car, so I'll need a ride so that my wife can watch the finish). We will be in Smithfield at that point, so about 10 minutes from the busing area.

If your house fills up, I have my guest bedroom, too.

Hey! Fellow blogger JD here. I am actually looking for lodgings the day before the race. It's just me (and my alarm clock). I'd be happy to give you a ride to the busing area. Coincidentally I'm heading that direction in the morning.

Let me know if there's still space available, and thanks!

Hey JD, I'll pencil you for the bed in the guest room. So you can count on it. Get in touch with me early next week with when you think you'll be in town, and I'll give you the street address (super-easy to find).

I still have a full-sized futon available in the downstairs den, for anyone else. It is quite comfortable, and fairly private, since it is in the basement.

Thank you Paul. Major load off my mind! I'll touch base with you next week.

Hey Paul, If you still are available with that I'd be interested in that comfy futon?

Steve - yup, count on it. We just bought the futon mattress last year. It's super-thick! I'll be in touch with you next week and give you our address. We our moving on Thursday, so the Petersen household will be featuring a new venue!
