Long-Term Running Goals:

PR in all distances 5k and up. Run both road and trail races. Slowly build up my mileage (SLOWLY!!!!!!!) back up to 90-100 miles a week when my body is ready. Cut my weight back to 155 lbs (currently 165 lbs)

Personal:

Grew up in Colorado. Married to former Weber State runner Kayla Blackford and have a son Perrin born June 2016. Family of 2 cats and a dog in our quaint home on the Ogden Bench. Disc golf enthusist. Love camping and back packing. Snowshoeing in the winter. Love a good local beer after a long run

So I got a stomach flu on Saturday night/Sunday morning. As you can see my weight is down 7 lbs since Saturday. Kinda sucks as I was just getting over the cold I had and then I spent all of Sunday in a great deal of pain. Since Saturday I have been able to eat and hold down maybe 1000 calories. Felt a touch weak on my run but did most of my 86 minute run with Kayla. So we kept the pace more comfortable for me. I hope to gain back some of the weight lost and feel better soon. I feel like mt shot at sub 70 at Snow Canyon has slipped through my fingers, but we will see what happens.

Met with Riley and Denver (his brother) really early today and did 8 miles easy. Still down on weight and my stomach is still unsure about things but felt better today than yesterday.

Lunch: 4.25 with Riley on Base. Hamstring is a little tight. Gonna try to get more calories down. Been a struggle all day so far.

Met Bret Riley  and Ken and picked up Bob along the way. Felt ok during the run still weak. My weight is way down so no double but gonna try a downhill tempo tomorrow. Fingers crossed I am over this.

I met Riley and Amy and drove up to run Trapper's Loop. We warmed up two miles then ran five miles up to Snow Basin and then I followed Riley on a 5-mile downhill tempo. The goal was 5:20 pace to get him ready for Snow Canyon Half.  We ran 532 520 505 505 521.
