I live in Kauai, Hawaii with my wife and 3 kids.  I ran x-country and track in high school. I had too much fun in college and never tried out for the teams. I graduated from BYU Provo.

Nic,

Hey we are going to be in Kauai next week, any suggestions on what to do with family? 4 boys under 10. been to Maui but never to Kauai.

I haven't done a lot of the organized tourist things here because going to the beach is fun for us. The best beaches for families are definitely Hanalei and Poipu beach. There are lots of activites like zipline, ATV tours but they have min ages for kids. They have a tubing one down a stream that I think all ages can do. Renting a kayak either at Wailua or Hanalei and going up the freshwater river is also fun. We've done that and fit 2 adults and 2 kids per kayak. I'll have to think some more about other activities. Where are you staying?

WE are staying in a house about a mile west of Poipu. How is the weather this time of year as far as rain on this side of the island?

Poipu is the sunnyside. My parents just left today after a 1-1/2 week stay and I think it only rained a couple times but just in the morning. This is a great time to come.
