I ran 17 miles today and felt good. Its weird, running seems to warp time for me. I ran for 1:48 today, but it felt like 30 mins. I guess that once you "numb" yourself out to longer runs, time seems to pass without you even noticing it. This is good because if I were to concentrate on how long the run is the pain amount would go way up. Its all about finding a little cocoon of comfort and just cruising through the miles.

I ran an easy couple of miles today to recoup from yesterday. I felt my IT band a bit, but I stretched and exercised it after the run and the tension went away. The weather is finally warm!

I ran a five mile threshold run today, but this week I was assigned one continuous run as opposed to five individual repeats. The goal pace was 5:30 +/- 4 seconds. I ran the full threshold workout in 27:07, which averages out to just over 5:25 per mile. This workout felt good; it had some kick to it, but I definitely didn't have to overextend myself to hit pace and finish the run. I then did 4x200 meter repeats in 32 seconds each. I think my coach assignes these to help develop a "kick" at the end of a race. Today was definitely a very good workout!

I ran close to ten miles today, ad finished with 8x150 meter strides. I think that these strides really help with that extra kick at the end of a race. School is pretty much terrible right now, so I am kind of in survival mode. Without running I think I would wither away.

Today was a good day for running. I got up pretty early to get a run in before the chaos of school began. It snowed a day ago, so ice was a large problem (at least for reckless people like myself). This made strides quite the adventure, but sometimes you do what you got to do. In all, a good workout today!

I ran later in the day today (about 5pm or so) and finished up the week with a good run. I did 8x150 meter strides at the end to keep sharp. This was my highest mileage week to date! I ran just over 70 miles and I feel good!
