30mins of the elliptical and 30mins aquajogging. I just talked to my trainer today, and it is t-minus one week for running. The plan is that I can run next Monday for 10 or 15 minutes. My leg feels great! I can push on my bone and I can barely feel anything! My soleus is doing good, too. I have been stretching and massaging it, but I think that running will help stretch it more. It will feel weird to fully "rely" on my leg when I get back again. I have heard that some people have trouble with the psychological aspect of returning to a normal stride since they have mentally adapted to compensation. I have to admit, although my leg doesn't hurt, it will be weird to fully count on it with every running step. I'm sure it's just a mental barrier that takes time to get over, though. |
