yeah, the vol state is an interesting race. it's actually what kind of inspired my run up alabama.

i know the guy that won it this year (joe fejes) and the guy whose course record he broke (dewayne satterfield), and i ran a portion of the old course a few years ago in the "gas giant v" (check out http://letsgoforarun.blogspot.com/2010/06/gas-giant-v.html).

it's definitely a cool event, and it might be on my to-do list one of these days...
