You'd think that I'd get my lazy rear end out to run on the day on which I sign up for a new marathon, but no...

(By the way, if anyone's interested, there are still plenty of spots available at the Mississippi Blues Marathon...)

Nevels, mental exhaustion deserves a physical break also. Your finals sound like the CPA exam I took, 3 days in a row, 8 hours a day with only an hour lunch each day.

How long do you have before the marathon? I expect you will break 3 hours.

The marathon is on January 3, which will be just shy of two months after Pinhoti, so I'm not really shooting for any kind of stellar time; I'm just trying to get a good workout, and if that workout happens to be under 3 hours, so be it...

John, with your endurance training and great speed you could rest from now til Jan 3rd and have an excellent shot at 3 hrs.
