I love it that you are at a point where you go out and log 26 miles and your log shows it like any other day. Nothing special , just a marathon! Nice quote. Zatopek was quite the runner.

Yeah, I didn't realize I had gone that far until I got done; the real surprise though is that I'm not sore at all from it. Keeping in mind that we did stop for water 4 times, if I strung together the running time, it would have been a marathon in 3:07, which blows my mind; I only hope that I can get back into this kind of shape after this Pinhoti nonsense and hammer out a new marathon PR...

I agree; Zatopek was a hoss. Anyone who can win the Olympic 5k, 10k, and marathon in the same year and, on his only day off from heats/finals, put in a 20-mile training/recovery run is a beastly runner. I guess there was a reason he was called the "human locomotive!"
