Personal:

Started running in November 2007 to get fit. Now I'm back almost to square one after back surgery. I did it once and I'll do it again.

"In truth, runners don't race other runners. They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares. And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better."  Running for His Life by Michael Hall.

630AM:  Met up w/ Court again for a nice run near the Cloverdale/Overland area.  Ran w/ Court for about 4M.  Pace was a tad quicker than last week but still within the realm of "conversational" pace. I wanted to go 7M but the weather, light rain, and the late hour prevented that.  Lunchtime run is out of the question.  Today is Gameday, BSU v. La Tech and I have to pick up some rain gear to get ready.  Temp in the 30's so it could turn to snow later.

Hah. I think geeeeaaauuux is creole for "we haven't beaten a winning team on the road since 2005." ;)

Yeah, I actually ran into him at the starting line. Hadn't seen him in quite a while. He asked me what I was shooting for and looked a little shocked when I told him. I was waiting for him to tell me his goal but he never did. :)
